Patrick Mikesic has joined Washburn University Foundation as Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations – Law School. In this role, Mikesic will lead fundraising efforts primarily for the Washburn University School of Law, including funds for a new law school facility. “This is an exciting time to join the Washburn University Foundation team,” Mikesic said. “Washburn Law is a real hallmark of the university and has a great reputation both regionally and nationally. I look forward to working with alumni, donors and friends to supports the efforts of the law school.”

Mikesic previously served as senior director for university advancement at Baker University, Baldwin City, Kan. During his tenure, he led multi-million dollar campaigns to construct a new science facility and the renovation and expansion of the student union. Prior to his work at Baker, Mikesic served as director of development at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kan. In that capacity he led successful fundraising efforts for the School of Business and the School of Journalism, as well as other initiatives.
Mikesic has served as vice president of development for the Douglas County Amateur Baseball Association, past president of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame, Sunflower Chapter, Lawrence, Kan. and was a founding member of Women Philanthropists for the University of Kansas.
Mikesic received both his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Kansas.
