Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka (BGCT) Receives a $20,000 Grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation

Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka (BGCT), a nonprofit organization dedicated to enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens, announced it has received a $20,000 grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation. This grant will drive a new level of exposure and experience in art programming for kids and teens at BGCT, made possible through an exciting partnership with the Mulvane Art Museum.

"Creating equitable opportunities for our community requires resources, and we appreciate the support from the U.S. Bank Foundation, which helps us continue to build and expand the innovative programs we're proud to offer," said Dawn McWilliams, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka.

Through this partnership, BGCT will launch enhanced arts programming designed to engage youth in creative exploration, cultural understanding, and personal expression. By collaborating with the Mulvane Art Museum, a renowned institution in Topeka, BGCT members will gain access to professional art education, curated exhibits, and hands-on workshops tailored to nurture their creativity and confidence.

BGCT is committed to creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment for youth, offering programs that span arts, health, leadership, and workforce readiness. In 2023 alone, BGCT served over 1,800 youth across Topeka, with more than 85% of members reporting an increased sense of belonging and confidence in their abilities.

Art & Culture Enrichment – Empowering Creativity

"All of us deserve to experience the joy we receive from opportunities to play, create and immerse in arts and culture. We're proud to invest in organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka to help more people access the benefits of art and cultural programming and make our communities stronger and more vibrant," said Terry R. Dickey, Community Affairs Manager at U.S. Bank.

The U.S. Bank Foundation supports its mission to power human potential and create lasting change in communities through its Community Possible platform. This initiative encompasses philanthropy, community investments, and volunteerism, working to build pathways to success through Play, Work, and Home.
