Topeka Zoo and Rotary Club of Topeka Partner to Reduce Single-Use Plastics

Topeka Zoo and Rotary Club of Topeka Partner to Reduce Single-Use Plastics

The Topeka Zoo is teaming up with the Rotary Club of Topeka to raise awareness about the importance of reducing the use of single-use plastics through a public service announcement (PSA). With half of all plastics produced designed for single use, this PSA aims to educate the public on simple ways to reduce using single use plastics. Examples include:

• Use reusable bags, bottles, and containers

• Make sure to recycle triangle 1, 2, and 5 plastics.

• Skip the straw or use a reusable one.

• Choose reusable/refillable drink containers.

The first video in the series is now available on the Topeka Zoo's website at topekazoo.org/single-use-plastics.
